Welcome to All Things Fabric. My name is Gail, and I love using fabric to make clothes, quilts, and accessories to enhance my life and beautify my home. I have been sewing since I was a little girl. In my early teens, I made my clothes. I had fun making baby and toddler clothes when my two sons were born. In 1999, a friend invited me to attend the quilting group at our church. That was when I began my journey into the world of quilting. I have been quilting ever since.
After I retired from Cornell University, I moved to Austin, Texas. For the past 20 years, I have continued to develop my skills, and my love of quilting has permeated every facet of my life. I started a quilting ministry at my church, I make quilts for Linus. I worked part-time at Honeybee Quilt Store in Austin, TX.
I am interested in the history of quilt making, and I enjoy visiting quilt museums.
I recently moved back to my home state of New York, I’ll be looking for more opportunities to use my quilting skills to serve God by making quilts to donate to a local pregnancy center, nursing homes, and Linus.
